Prospective NFL cornerback Kemah Siverand continues to face off-the-field troubles with a report that he was arrested in the early-morning hours Saturday in Houston and charged with felony evading arrest in connection with a five-car street race, according to the Houston Police Department.
Siverand, 24, was attempting to make the Seattle Seahawks' roster in training camp last year but was cut by the team in August after he was caught trying to sneak a female companion into the team hotel despite COVID-19 restrictions.
He was signed to the Las Vegas Raiders' practice squad last year and signed a futures contract with the Raiders in January. The Texas AM and Oklahoma State product has yet to play in an NFL game.
According to a report Monday by the Houston P.D., Siverand initially was stopped by officers after five vehicles were spotted street racing. Siverand was one of three vehicles stopped, but he "then continued to drive another mile before stopping."
The Raiders have yet to comment on the incident.
