BOSTON -- The Boston Celtics were missing forwards Jaylen Brown and Marcus Morris for Wednesday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Brown woke up with a swollen right eye. Celtics coach Brad Stevens said the swelling may have come from an irritation to a contact lens.
"When he woke up, one of his eyes, he couldn't open it," Stevens told reporters. "Swollen. Just sounds like an inflamed cornea. Probably from a contact. Morris missed the first eight games of the season with a left knee injury and is taking Wednesday off due to rehabilitation. This marks the third game Morris will miss since making his team debut on Nov. 3.
Brown is averaging 14.8 points and 5.9 rebounds while Morris, who has excelled coming off the bench in recent games, is at 12.6 points and 5.6 rebounds.
